RenoVPN ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our VPN service and related applications (collectively, the "Service").

1. No-Log Policy

We operate under a strict no-log policy. We do not collect, store, or monitor:

  • Your browsing activity or traffic destinations
  • DNS queries made through our VPN tunnel
  • Your originating IP address on our VPN servers
  • Connection timestamps or session duration
  • Bandwidth usage attributable to individual users

Because we do not maintain connection logs, we are unable to identify any individual user's activity even if compelled to do so.

2. DNS Handling

When connected to our Service, DNS queries are resolved via encrypted DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) through trusted public resolvers (such as Cloudflare). We do not operate our own DNS resolver and do not log or inspect DNS queries.

3. Information We Collect

To provide and maintain our Service, we collect only the minimum information necessary:

3.1 Account Information

  • Email address (for account registration and communication)
  • Payment transaction records (processed entirely by third-party payment providers; we do not store full credit card numbers or payment credentials)

3.2 Crash and Diagnostic Data

We use Firebase Crashlytics and Sentry to collect crash reports and diagnostic information, including:

  • Device model, OS version, and app version
  • Crash stack traces and error logs
  • General device state at time of crash (memory usage, battery state)

This data is used solely to identify and fix software defects. It does not include browsing activity, VPN traffic content, or DNS queries.

3.3 Aggregate Metrics

  • Anonymized, aggregate connection success rates (not attributable to individual users)

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Process payments and subscriptions
  • Diagnose and fix application crashes and bugs
  • Provide customer support
  • Send important service updates (e.g., security alerts)
  • Improve service reliability through aggregate analytics

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Payment processors — to fulfill transactions (they operate under their own privacy policies)
  • Firebase (Google) and Sentry — for crash reporting and diagnostics only

6. Acceptable Use

Our Service is designed to protect your privacy and security online. We ask that all users comply with applicable laws in their jurisdiction when using our Service. We maintain necessary security measures to protect our infrastructure from abuse — these measures safeguard user privacy while ensuring service quality for all users. If we become aware that an account is being used for illegal activities, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate the account and take appropriate action.

7. Device Permissions

To establish a VPN connection, our app requires permission to create a VPN configuration on your device. This is a standard system requirement on iOS, macOS, Android, Apple TV, and Android TV. The VPN configuration is stored locally on your device and is used solely to route network traffic through our encrypted tunnel. We do not access or collect any other system permissions beyond what is necessary for VPN functionality.

8. Data Storage and Transfer

Account data and service infrastructure are located in the United States. By using our Service, you acknowledge that your account information will be processed and stored in the United States.

9. Data Security

We employ industry-standard security measures including:

  • Strong encryption for all VPN traffic
  • Encrypted storage for account data
  • No retention of connection or activity logs on VPN servers
  • Regular security reviews of our infrastructure

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention

Account information is retained only while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time directly within the app. Upon account deletion, all associated personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data that cannot be linked to any individual may be retained indefinitely.

11. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data (available directly in the app)
  • Request a copy of your account data

12. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that identify individual users.

13. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

14. Limitation of Liability

Our Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to any data loss or service interruption.

15. Do Not Track

Our Service does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because we do not track users in the first place. We do not use any cross-site tracking technologies.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of our Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
